K so I followed him first. But I lol'd out loud.

 So I'll be in NYC tomorrow. I'm so fucking excited. My two best friends from here  are coming up. One is my San Francisco actor buddy (who has met Gavin Newsom like a bunch of times), who I think can be the next Robert DeNiro. I'm serious, all we do is sit in his room, listen to Frank Sinatra LPs, eat Pasta Fagioli, and talk about Air America. I sincerely adore this guy so much and have never wanted anyone to make it as much as I want him to be an actor. 
My other friend is originally from Syracuse. She shares our Italian culture obsession (yet she is not Italian, but we have granted her honorary access). What we truly have bonded over is our Kennedy obsession. We have literally spent 5 hours gushing about Robert Kennedy. We are both incredibly obsessed with the JFK assassination and are currently righting a student film about hardcore conspiracy theorists who try to re-enact the assassination. She's also an Obama fan girl (and I'm attempting to turn her on to the VEEP, Michelle and the senior staff, as well as the Clinton White House.)

I can't wait to show these two around NYC. We're all living in a suite together next year. :D

Going to a school in a suburban environment has been an adjustment for me. Oh and the southern part? I have met many intelligent, well spoken, cultured people from North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Virginia etc. 
But some people. Oh my fucking god. They use the "I'm from the South, so I don't need to know shit" argument all the fucken time. 
This one guy tells me that he's reading John Locke for a class. I ask him if he can name the religious background of every US President (I was curious if he would mention that the founding fathers were more Deist then Christian.) And this is what he says

"They all were Christian, except Kennedy who was Catholic, and Obama is a Muslim".

I start laughing really hard...until I see he is giving the most WTF look anyone could possibly ever give. And you know what? YOU KNOW WHAT? He's Catholic. *head desk* *head desk* *head desK*
His defense is "well, I'm from Georgia, and no one follows anything like that. We learn stuff from heresay.

This sort of thing happens about once a fucking week.

So I had an editing presentation on Tuesday which required me to hook up my MacBook Pro to a projector. In the middle of my Presentation Final Cut froze on me, and I had to restart. So I close Final Cut and everyone class sees this

My teacher (who has a thick Romanian accent and looks like a slightly less crazy and more civilized  Rasputin) screams "Oh its those 3 Chicago Criminal Brothers!! You like those three? You like that ballet boy, that agent scum and that twisted doctor? Three criminals!!"

I begin to proclaim them the 3 greatest beings alive, then quickly realizing that I was in front of my class, giving a presentation... So I kind of stop myself to and say "ok if you guys want to know anything about these three amazing human beings, ask me later." Later my teacher stops me again and says "They were much better looking when they were younger."

 Is anyone watching CSPAN right now? Well they're showing Kristen Gillabrand's acceptance of the NY state Senate seat. Oh my god, Chuck Schumer is giving the coolest speech. I love this guy so much!! I know firsthand, that he's a great senator, and one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. He's from my neighborhood, and I have the same exact accent. 

Just turn on CSPAN now, or find him on CSPAN.org. Hearing this guy at his best is worth it.

It snowed, in North Carolina...soo MY MORNING CLASSES ARE CANCELLED!! Now I can sit in my room and indulge in my  *~24 hours news stations~*. I'm going to be hopping from CNN, to MSNBC to CSPAN! My class which is scheduled from 11:30 o 12:50 was already canceled. (I kind of pestered the professor till he did). 

Now I'm sitting here in the student commons, waiting for the NY Times. (which was supposed to be delivered two minutes ago sdfgzsdhxfgjchvjb.knklm)

I'M SO HAPPY AND MY  NEW ICON IS AMAZING AND HOLY SHIT. THIS IS LIKE THE WEST WING BUT REAL, AND OH MY GOD. BUSH IS ACTUALLY GONE AND BARACK OBAMA IS OUR NEW PRESIDENT IN  HOURS 55 MINUTES AND 55 SECONDS!!

In honor of this historic presidency, I am posting a note I wrote on my facebook about an hour after Obama was elected president. Please read this, it's short and is my favorite thing I've ever written. It's very Sam Seabornish (further convincing me that I am the female version of Sam).

I was able to get my class canceled for the Inauguration! HELL FUCKING YEAHH!!

OH DID RAHM KICK ASS LAST NIGHT OR DID RAHM KICK ASS ?? He was classy, funny, and oh so sexy. And this is my new background! Rahm and Ari <3 <3

SO The Golden Globes were cool. I haven't seen all of the nominated films, but now know that I definitely need to see Slumdog Millionaire. I still think that I'll like Frost/Nixon and Milk better. Heath won! That was expected, but still a great moment.
BUT THERE ARE 2 HIGHLIGHTS WHICH I WILL DISCUSS!

1. Steven Spielberg and Martin Scorsese's hugh. It was so damn cute.

2. I was with my friend, and was talking the whole night about how I must find Ari because I knew he was there. And guess what? I FOUND ARI! He was at the table right next to the stage. Right before one of the commercial breaks, I spotted Ari taking a pic with the Jo Bro's and I think a few other agents, but it looked like he jumped in the picture at the last minute. He even did the peace sign thing in front of one of bro's faces.. When I saw that, I screamed "IT'S ARI!!!".

OK I fell asleep while writing my autobiography ( fucking screenwriting assignment). I had this dream, where Joe Biden calls me and tells me to come over to his place so we can watch Bull Durham. For some reason, this was an absolutely natural occurrence, so I go to his house (which is right across from my dorm), and he greets me with this huge hug. He starts to show me his puppy, then is like 'we need to start the movie because Obama needs me at a press thing at 7.' Then I woke up. WHAT?? And the puppy was definitely his German Shepherd, Champ.
